Hi there everyone,
Well today is the day that I pulled up stakes and moved my base camp from Rancho Cordova to Yreka California. There are so many friends and extended family that I leave behind, but I am thrilled that with my new home in Yreka that I will be less than an hour away from my close family members who live in southern Oregon.
This video documents the first time in my life that I have truly set off down the road, with every single item that I own, being operated as one unit. With this trip I once again has downsized my life just a little bit more than ever before. Now lawn mower, no weed eater, not leaf blower. Not to worry, I wont need those items and I am completely comfortable living in the Allegro Bus and Jeep Wrangler. It's a solid, well equipped combination with all of the comforts of home. I will miss my friends and family in the Sacramento area, and I will return to visit them frequently. But I find my self uniquely ready to take on this new adventure, continuing my work for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as well as volunteering with Rescue Ranch in Yreka, a no-kill dog shelter which does truly noble work, every day of the year.
Also, with this smaller amount of belongings, I should be freed up to travel even more, further exploring Northern California as well as hopefully southern Oregon, Nevada and maybe even parts of Idaho, all at a time of my choosing!
Come join me and go along for the ride!
Safe travels all!
Eric Anderson
